This fall, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Scholarship Orientation for the 2024-25 cohort of Scholars at the Information Lab. We were excited to welcome 22 Scholars to the event, marking the start of an inspiring year ahead. The group, representing nine Commonwealth countries, brings together diverse talents from fields such as Computer Systems, Mathematics, Accounting, Business, Health Services, Sciences, and Communications & Arts.

The day was filled with valuable insights, networking opportunities, and resources designed to support the academic and professional growth of our Scholars. New program partner Career Spring led an informative session about the benefits of using their platform for interview preparation and guidance. Highlights included learning about the advantages of being part of the St. George’s community, building connections with peers, and the opportunity to have professional headshots taken for job and graduate school applications.

In addition, we were thrilled to partner with That Suits You, an organization in NYC that helps young people access professional attire. This special event for our male Scholars included an inspiring talk on the importance of confidence and professional presentation, followed by suit fittings to ensure they’re ready for the professional world.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners and everyone who contributed to making these events a success. We look forward to supporting the continued growth of our 2024-25 Scholars and to an exciting year ahead!
