The Foundation continues to support children from care facilities through its scholarship program, aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty and social exclusion. Despite challenges in securing funding through the GlobalGiving platform, the program remains active and has delivered impactful resources, including psychotherapy, educational courses, and language training. This report outlines the program's achievements, goals, and development prospects for 2025.
Achievements of the Scholarship Program
Since its inception, the scholarship program has focused on providing children in care facilities with opportunities to develop academically, emotionally, and socially. Key achievements of the program include:
Feedback from participating children and their caregivers highlights the transformative nature of these initiatives. Many report improved self-esteem, academic success, and aspirations for a brighter future.
Looking ahead, the scholarship program aims to expand its reach and impact in 2025 with the following strategies:
Enhanced Fundraising Efforts:
Despite the lack of funding through GlobalGiving thus far, FDI remains hopeful about future contributions from the platform. The foundation plans to intensify its fundraising efforts, including new campaigns to raise awareness and connect with potential donors globally.
Increased Beneficiary Numbers:
The program currently supports a limited number of children due to financial constraints. With improved funding, FDI hopes to double the number of beneficiaries by the end of 2025.
Broader Offerings:
FDI plans to introduce additional services, such as STEM-focused courses, leadership workshops, and internships with partner organizations, to prepare children for diverse career paths.
