Our scholars program in Nigeria has a whole new look this year! In the interest of ensuring our scholars are able to develop workplace ready skills throughout their university tenure, we have some new programs launching this year to provide internship, mentorship, and skill building opportunities.
Our Skillbridge internships are aimed at providing internship opportunities at local companies while students are on semester breaks- meanwhile our Project RISE program will ensure students have work opportunities remotely while in school so they can learn, earn, and develop professional skills during their studies. Work study programs are not otherwise available at local universities, so this is a way for our kids to develop work habits while earning to help support them through their studies.
At A2S, our students receive more than a scholarship. We provide access to quarterly workshops, food supplies, study resources, and now internship opportunities and mentors to ensure the best chance of finding a fulfilling career following graduation.
