Conservation is a major focus of the foundation. An important way to protect the forest is to work with the bee pollinators. Our interesting community based project of working with Melipona stingless bees is helping the people in the region and the forest. Melipona bees are a major pollinator for the rainforest. We have around 15 hives that we have passed on to woman in the region plus the management of our own hives. No bees, no forest. So, it is vitally important that people continue to help support this project where woman can get a hive and help them be more self-sufficient and help the rainforest at the same time.
