The climate is changing throughout the world. But mostly the changes are heat. Record breaking temperatures all over the world, and in areas that one would not normally expect to find these temperatures, like the artic circle. Our work in rainforest protection is so important for young and old. Elderly people especially are being disproportionally affected by the heat. Virtually every day we have record breaking heat here. And because there is so much humidity, it feels like 40C (104F). I spend much of my time studying what is happening in the climate world. And the impacts of the climate changes are incredibly strong, and all over the world. We must learn to adapt. In many ways, we are better off out here in the jungle than many other parts of the world. But we also are being impacted by the heat. The work on our medical facility is moving along well. We will be finished in a few weeks. One of the advantages with the health program is we will be able to provide health education in schools and communities in the region. We can explain how people will have to adjust to the heat; some major changes in their lives. Thanks for your support. And remember, I love you Douglas
