Guatemala's coasts host 5 of the world's 8 sea turtle species, but habitat loss, pollution, development, illegal egg collection, and human activity threaten their survival. ARCAS protects nests, rescues and rehabilitates marine wildlife, and works with coastal communities through conservation and environmental education. Your support helps protect endangered species and the ecosystems local communities depend on.
With your support, ARCAS will protect sea turtle nests, rescue and rehabilitate injured marine wildlife, release recovered animals back into their natural habitats, and provide environmental education to coastal communities. The project will also strengthen local conservation efforts by working with schools, women, and community leaders to protect Guatemala's Pacific ecosystems for future generations.
This project will protect thousands of sea turtle hatchlings and other marine wildlife while strengthening conservation across Guatemala's Pacific coast. More than 2,000 community members, including children, women, teachers, and local leaders, will benefit from environmental education and conservation programs, creating long-term stewardship that protects biodiversity, supports sustainable livelihoods, and preserves healthy coastal ecosystems for future generations.
