This project aims to improve the quality of life of 50 dogs and cats living in extreme poverty in Coyaima, Tolima, through vaccination, deworming, and sterilization. Additionally, five community feeding stations will be established to provide a steady food supply for stray animals, with an initial stock of two tons of food and logistics for ongoing replenishment. This effort will reduce abandonment and disease while promoting animal welfare in the community.
In the rural areas of Coyaima, hundreds of dogs and cats survive in extreme conditions, facing hunger, disease, and uncontrolled reproduction. Without access to veterinary care or sufficient food, they suffer daily. This situation also impacts the community, causing health issues and an uncontrolled increase in abandoned animals. Your help can change this reality. With your support, we will provide vaccination, deworming, sterilization, and food.
This project will conduct veterinary campaigns to vaccinate, deworm, and sterilize 50 stray dogs and cats, reducing diseases and controlling overpopulation. Additionally, it will install five community feeding stations with an initial supply of 1,000 kg of food, ensuring basic nutrition for the most vulnerable. A logistical system will guarantee daily replenishment for one month, promoting animal welfare and improving public health in rural communities.
By vaccinating and sterilizing the animals, we will reduce the incidence of transmissible diseases and uncontrolled reproduction. The feeding stations will help decrease abandonment and improve the quality of life for both the animals and the community. This project will lay the foundation for future animal welfare initiatives in the region.
