Dear Friends,
I’m very happy to let you know that we made our 2025 goal of helping to spay or neuter 1,000 community cats in rural central North Carolina! While this important work is ongoing, every goal or milestone we reach means that female cats will not have to endure multiple litters every year, the health of both male and female cats is improved, and thousands of kittens will be spared the hard, dangerous life of a community cat.
There’s more good news! In addition to our targeted central North Carolina counties, our program now includes community cats from the Fayetteville area, who are humanely trapped by local TNR volunteers, spayed or neutered and treated for any injuries or illness, and then returned to their colonies.
Not only that, we were able to pull quite a few kittens from the patients who are not feral and can be adopted out. They will now have loving families who will give them a safe and healthy future. You can meet two of these kittens in the attached photos.
You got us here! Your generosity and care for cats who have no one to advocate for them is the reason they will have a better future. We can’t thank you enough!
As 2026 begins, our efforts continues. We are currently working with local TNR groups to help a colony of 60 community cats living in a trailer park. Our partners work tirelessly to help them and make multiple trips over several weeks to accomplish treating the entire colony. We are so grateful for their compassion and dedication, and that of our veterinarian who works long hours to help the cats.
You are part of this amazing team of people who change lives every day. Thank you for caring about the cats!
Samantha
