Saving America's Horses

Every day, countless horses’ and burros’ lives are lost to inhumane and needless killing that can be prevented; this killing additionally places human lives at risk, contributes to toxic waste and global warming, and it is our mission to see that this becomes a thing of the past.  This is the path we’ve always been on, and it is our great privilege to be on it with our supporters, and so many other like-minded people and partners.

What most people don't realize is that the disinformation campaigns related to our mission are driven by deep pocket special interests who do NOT really care about the horses at all. No matter what you've heard, there is only one truth: horse slaughter is NOT humane euthanasia. Nor is it a "necessary evil".

This project brings needed exposure to the corrupt distribution of disinformation about horse slaughter and the removal of America’s wild horses, and reveals how the public has been misled by special interest groups that run over the laws that are supposed to protect the horses, people and the environment.

Strong federal protection is needed for these animals through a permanent federal protection and bans against the killing and against slaughter in the U.S. in order to put an end to their exportation from the U.S. for slaughter in foreign countries.

Through GlobalGiving, with your continued kind and generous support, we’ve raised $2360 through 89 donations which has helped us to bolster the reach and impact of Saving America’s Horses, the film and educational platform, through our website, our social media platforms, and through educational presentations and screenings across the country. We have additionally released a variety of multi-media tools including educational reports, PSA’s, Video Alerts, white papers, brochures and info-graphics.
