Overall Summary
Throughout the quarter, the Saturday School program demonstrated significant growth in holistic child development, youth leadership, and community engagement. The program consistently integrated Christian values, mental health support, life skills, education, and child protection into all activities. January focused on building empathy and strategic planning, February strengthened personal safety and emotional resilience, March expanded academic support and public safety campaigns, and April emphasized leadership and safe community participation. The Ant Team youth leaders played an increasingly important role as mentors and facilitators, while children gained greater confidence, self-worth, and practical life skills. Together, these efforts created a safer and more supportive environment where vulnerable children and youth could grow emotionally, spiritually, socially, and academically.
January 2026
In January, the Saturday School focused on laying a strong foundation for the 2026 program year while preparing community outreach activities for National Children’s Day in Pai District. The program continued promoting holistic child development through Christian ethics, well-being, and child psychology. Weekly activities included Superbook lessons on empathy and mental health, where children practiced understanding others’ feelings through role-playing and group reflection. Approximately 81 children joined weekly activities, and 80% demonstrated improved empathy skills in daily life situations. Youth volunteers (“Ant Team”) were trained to lead creative game booths designed to promote teamwork and positive values during Children’s Day events. The team also completed the annual curriculum and strategic plan centered on the theme “Identity in Christ.” Collaboration with a mobile medical team was initiated to prepare community health outreach activities.
February 2026
In February, activities centered on emotional health, self-protection, and the “Love Is the Solution” campaign during the Valentine season. A total of 46 primary students and 23 Ant Team youth leaders participated in an 8-hour active learning program focused on personal safety, healthy boundaries, and hygiene. Children learned to identify unsafe situations, practice saying “no,” and recognize trusted adults they could approach for help. The peer-support model allowed older students to mentor younger children, creating a safe and encouraging environment. The program successfully strengthened children’s confidence in protecting themselves while also developing leadership and facilitation skills among the Ant Team members.
March 2026
In March, the program integrated spiritual, academic, and life-skills development. Easter activities helped children understand God’s love and salvation through interactive Superbook storytelling and discussions on the meaning of the cross. At the same time, Grade 6 students attended an intensive Math and Science preparation camp to reduce anxiety before entering secondary school. The road safety campaign, “Safe Riding: 100% Helmet Use,” became a major success as Ant Team members created a helmet-awareness video that gained over 10,000 views on the Pai District page. The campaign later received 3rd place in a district-level road safety competition. Home visits were also conducted to monitor children’s well-being and family situations during the school break.
April 2026
In April, the program emphasized child-centered learning, safety awareness, and leadership development during the Songkran season. Children studied Superbook lessons on the Ten Commandments while connecting biblical principles with daily life, traffic safety, and respect for others during Songkran celebrations. The program taught children that rules are not meant to restrict them but to protect life and promote responsibility. Children actively participated by creating four awareness media campaigns on helmet use and safe Songkran practices. Ant Team members took leadership roles in facilitating activities and mentoring younger children, continuing to grow as compassionate and responsible young leaders. The program also prepared for the upcoming school term by developing plans to create a safe support system for children facing school transitions, emotional changes, and online risks.
Testimony: Weerapol Apui, Malachi (14 years old)
Before joining the Saturday School, Malachi spent most weekends playing games without direction and often struggled with anger and selfish behavior. Through the Superbook lesson on empathy, he learned to understand others’ feelings and respond more kindly. He now wants to become a helper and role model for younger children and is actively involved in planning Children’s Day activities and community service.
Testimony: Kanyanika Theeranaphakul, Kwan (10 years old)
Kwan learned important lessons about hygiene, self-protection, and personal value through the program. She gained confidence in recognizing unsafe situations and seeking help from trusted adults. Inspired by the Superbook story of Naaman’s servant girl, she now believes that even children can make a positive difference through courage and faith.
Testimony: Suphada Laolee, Awae (16 years old)
Awae struggled with low self-esteem and negative thoughts because of bullying about her appearance. After attending the Mental Health Camp, she learned how to replace negative thinking with truth and encouragement. Through support from friends and leaders, she now feels more confident, calmer, and able to see herself as valuable and loved by God.
Testimony: Suphavita Noin, Joy (13 years old)
Joy has grown from being a participant into a youth leader in the Ant Team. Through mentoring younger children and joining youth camps, she developed leadership, responsibility, and a stronger appreciation for education. She now dreams of studying Home Economics in the future and is thankful for the safe and supportive environment the Saturday School has provided for her life.
