Since the launch of the Save Malnourished Babies in Nigeria project, Elite Star Foundation has continued to focus on addressing child malnutrition through planned community-based nutrition and healthcare interventions. The project has a total funding target of $20,000, intended to support therapeutic feeding, nutrition supplements, medical screening, growth monitoring, caregiver education, breastfeeding awareness, and emergency food assistance for vulnerable infants and their families.
According to the project's current GlobalGiving listing, $0 has been raised toward the $20,000 target, leaving the full $20,000 outstanding. This means that the project has not yet recorded any funds through the platform to finance the proposed activities. Consequently, the planned interventions remain dependent on securing financial resources before they can be implemented at the intended scale. The foundation recognizes the importance of responsible financial management and ensuring that funds received are directed toward the project's stated objectives.
The project is designed to address the nutritional needs of vulnerable babies while equipping parents and caregivers with practical knowledge to improve infant feeding and early identification of malnutrition. Once funding becomes available, the foundation intends to channel resources toward nutrition supplies, health assessments, community outreach, and caregiver education. Progress will be assessed through financial accountability, the delivery of planned interventions, and the number of children and caregivers reached. Elite Star Foundation remains committed to advancing child health and will continue working toward the project's objectives as resources become available.
