DO YOU KNOW WHAT MUCOSITIS IS?
Mucositis is the inflammation and irritation of tissues in the mouth caused by chemotherapy. It results in the formation of ulcers in the lining of the mouth, including the tongue, the inside of the cheeks, lips, and the soft palate. This condition poses daily challenges for children, making activities like eating, speaking, and even smiling difficult. To address this issue, we rely on your generous donations and the support of our partners to provide specialized oral hygiene kits for prevention and curative medications to those already afflicted. We aim to distribute more than 200 kits.
Our battle against mucositis knows no rest. We invite you to join us in making the oncology treatment process easier for our young patients. Thanks to your contributions, we've achieved significant progress. In recent months, we've delivered over 300 ice pops to our pediatric patients through the "Ice Pops for Well-being" project, which aims to reduce inflammation and enhance the chemotherapy's effectiveness in the digestive tract. Additionally, we've engaged in recreational activities with them and brought joy through gifts such as cars, balls, art supplies, board games, and books in the oncology ward to improve their hospital stay during treatment.
Your donation can truly make a difference!
