Inclusive Community Engagement on Animal Welfare.
By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy. | I.A.A Director/Project Leader.
Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA), being a food system transformation and development oriented organization, IAA values the well-being of non-human animals and aims to create awareness about animal rights and welfare to change peoples' minds. It seeks to deliver impactful animal health literacy and sensitization and vaccination campaign, by providing basic animal health care (veterinary care) and shelter. It aims to rescue and vaccinate 1500 of both street and own animals to reduce animal suffering and stop the consumption of dogs and cats in Cameroon by 2030
People will avoid trafficking of pets for consumption if the entire community is engaged and understand the need for the protection of these animals and also the goodness of going vegan and vegan lvestyle. We have implemented projects on grassroots vegan advocacy and Animals Advocacy campaign for pet owners, animal lovers and non-vegans, with the objective to reduce meat consumption and farming by working with non-vegan and other communities in Cameroon to create awareness about veganism and the importance of plant based diet and farming and animal welfare. I.AA organised vegan advocacy workshops with heads of dormitory schools, restaurants and provided training on vegan recipes and protein, advocated for restaurants to include vegan dishes on their menu to affect public demand for meat and purchasing patterns. We also carried out a school vegan lunch campaign to expose children to veganism and animal vaccination campaign against rabiest which saw the vaccination of 35 dogs and 4 cats.
Community turnout was very impressive and more than 228 people have been exposed to veganism. 5 chefs trained on 3 vegan recipes and 1 trainer restaurant recruited, while 35 women trained on how to make meat out of soyabean, vegan salad and fried rice. Funding and lack of knowledge about veganism and animal right was a concern because veganism is still a new concept and need massive sensitization in Cameroon. Funding for restaurant food demo and animal rescure and shelter cannot be raised by the participants because we are a nonprofit and cannot sell food or ask for payment for our services to generate profits.
Our goal is $50,000 and donation made through GlobalGiving is safe and secure, which ensures that we continue to work in favor of animals, environment and the planet. Thank you for your continued support and for being our valued donor and supporter.

Adoption of 24 Months Animal Advocacy plan.
By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy. | I.A.A Director/Project Leader.
Trafficking of dogs and cats for meat is a common issue which is not being looked into by the authorities in Cameroon. People steal dogs and cats, kill them and sold in dark corners which is consumed in restaurants and elsewhere in Cameroon. Rabies is the most immediate concern for humans and among several common canine diseases. The street dogs produce countless puppies yearly which are vulnerable to diseases. Local dogs roam the streets all time in search of food scraps for survival while animal exploitation have continued to advance to a higher rate in Cameroon.
Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) has designed a 2 year animal right advocacy strategic plan; "Critical Choices"; Being Kind to Animals. This campaign will show how veganism is more than a diet and you can show compassion to animals in all areas of your life. IAA will focus on educating the public on the importance of veganism, animal rights and welfare and helping anyone who wants to make more ethical choices. The two year strategic plan will dialogue with policy makers and network with animal right organizations to reduce animal suffering and exploitation in Cameroon while providing vaccination to 1000 animals and rescure to 50 stray animals (dogs and cats).
The overall financial goal for this campaign is $50,000 and IAA has raised $128 through globalgiving, which is far below the funding need of this program. IAA has vaccinated over 35 dogs and cats so far with the little funding raised. Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) welcomes donation of any amount through globalgiving, it will go a long way to improve animal health and welfare while reducing exploitation and increasing ethical choices in favour of animals in Cameroon. Thank you for being part of our donor and supporter team, we appreciate your continued commitment and donation which ensures that we continue to protect the animals, planet and climate.

Animal Vaccination and Advocacy Campaign
By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy. | I.A.A Director/Project Leader.
Trafficking of dogs and cats, which is consumed in restaurants and elsewhere in Cameroon and Rabies are the most immediate concern for humans and among several common canine diseases. The stray dogs produce countless puppies yearly which are vulnerable to diseases. Local dogs roam the streets all time in search of food scraps for survival.
Integrated Agricultural Association has been working to reduce industrial animal farming by promoting plant based agriculture, while advocating against animal consumption and exploitation. Integrated Agricultural Association carried out sensitization on animal rights and vaccination campaign in Nkwen, Bamenda III, of the northwest region of Cameroon. 35 community members were sensitized and 38 pets vaccinated against rabies, free of charge by IAA's vet care volunteer team. IAA also conducted research in Bamenda to understand how often dogs and cats owners vaccinate and look after their pets and results were not good. Over 1300 pets are not vaccinated regularly and the number of stray animals could not be determined but significantly higher.
Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) needs to $50000 to rescue stray animals and provide new shelter, and provide vaccination to over 1500 dogs and cats in Bamenda. IAA is grateful for donations made through GlobalGiving and your donation of any amount will enable IAA to provide direct rescue and vet care services to reduce animal suffering as well exploitation and consumption in Cameroon. IAA wants a society where both animals and humans thrives together. Therefore, your support ensures that we achieve this goal.
Thank you for being part of our donor community, without your support we would not be able to continue this incredible mission.
Best wishes!!
