Women With Bladder Cancer Need Urgent Supports

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank all our donors for their kindness and support toward the Save 100 Women Battling Bladder Cancer in Nigeria project. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and gives hope to women struggling with bladder cancer across Nigeria.

However, the donations received so far are still not enough to begin the project, and more support is urgently needed to start the first phase of awareness, diagnosis, and treatment activities.

During our recent bladder cancer awareness activities, we discovered that many women had little or no knowledge about bladder cancer. Most of the women we spoke with had heard about cancer generally but were unaware of bladder cancer symptoms, warning signs, or available treatment options. This lack of awareness continues to delay diagnosis and treatment for many women.

Without early detection and proper medical support, many women remain at risk of advanced illness, severe complications, and avoidable deaths linked to untreated bladder cancer.

This project is designed to provide bladder cancer awareness, medical screening support, diagnosis assistance, treatment support, and follow-up care for 100 women identified during our outreach activities. The project also aims to help women recognise symptoms earlier and seek medical help before the disease becomes more advanced.

We remain grateful for the support received so far and hopeful that additional donations will make it possible to begin this important women’s cancer support project soon. In future reports, we hope to share updates, beneficiary stories, and progress from the first phase of implementation.

Thank you once again for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
