Meeting with the Social welfare Council about the Earthquake Rehabilitation program.jpg
After the distribution of the relief materials to the paralegal girls and their family, Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) is now moving towards the rehabilitation program i.e. helping the 105 paralegal girls who have their house either severely damaged or completely destroyed make small temporary bamboo and wood houses. In the beginning of this project (SASANE) has recently completed the approval letter procedures to start our earthquake rehabilitation program for the 105 girls. We have already received the letters from District Administration Office, Nepal and the Social Welfare Council, Nepal. A special meeting was held in the SASANE office with the government agencies. Our target group and the process of help was put forward by SASANE in the meeting.
The two government agencies has set up a monitoring and evaluation committee to check on our progress in the recovery and rehabilitation program. Talking about the development in the project, we have already distributed the form to the girls who have been a severe victim of the April 2015 earthquake. The girls whose house has been either damaged or completely destroyed can fill up the application mentioning their house location, type of help needed with two photographs of the damaged or destroyed house.
We have a huge number of girls coming to us for help and we are hoping that we will be able to help them all. The situation of the girls is deteriorating day by day as we have a cold and chilly weather here lately and the girls have been living in tents and tepee. We want to help these girls build small temporary bamboo or wood houses so that they can live in and stay warm.
With your little help we will be able to help these girls to start living their normal life again. We hope we will get your support in this project.
Thank you!
