Dear Kind Hearts
Greetings from SANKALP team
New session for the year 2017-2018 began on 8th June after the summer break. We once again witnessed happy faces of children who were eagerly looking forward to come to Sankalp after their vacation.
We had many requests for admission in the new session at the same time six old children left. We have decided to maintain our strength to 45 children therefore, only six new children are being admitted. Of the 6 children who have left, three have reached their peak and they are very old with no possibilities of any improvements, two children have left the city and remaining one who was coming from very far away has joined some school near his house.
A new class room has been built during the vacation period for providing E-Education to the children. The construction cost is sponsored by L&T’s ladies welfare association.
The annual psychological assessment for all the children to record the disability level and also to compare it with last year to check the progress for old children and also to design the IEP (Individual Education Plan) for each child for the current session will be done on 18th June. The IEPs shall be completed and their progress targets to be achieved during the year shall also be fixed immediately after. Pediatric checkup for all children is fixed for last week of June followed by ENT, Dental & Ophthalmic checkups within next 30 days.
