Dear Kind Hearts
Greetings from SANKALP team.
The Nov-Jan quarter at SANKALP was packed with many outdoor activities. SANKALP children participated in Rallies and other events organized by United Way of Baroda & other institutions on the occasion of the World Disability Day. Children also participated in the sporting events organized by the State Government as well as many other organizations for disabled children. Participation in such events not only gives them an opportunity to showcase their abilities but also helps boost their self-confidence and self-esteem. We feel proud to inform you that seven of SANKALP’s children won medals/prizes in different events like running, ball throw, fast walk, long jump & breaking the pyramid.
Our project also participated in the Microsoft YouthSpark matching campaign on December 2 and we are thankful to our donors that with their support, we were able to get a bonus matching of $1,667. This is indeed a very useful amount for us.
International cricketer Irfan Pathan visited SANKALP on 18th December and after seeing and understanding the scientific and structured methodology being practiced at SANKALP for rehabilitation of mentally & physically challenged children, he spent an hour amongst them chatting and playing. He encouraged Team SANKALP for their good work and also pledged his support.
Let’s share what Irfan Pathan said about Sankalp:
“Very good job you guys are doing, keep it up. Many prayers you are getting.
With best wishes.” Irfan Pathan
Thank You Irfan Pathan for sparing time from your very busy schedule and motivating us. It gives us great satisfaction that our efforts of bringing meaningful change in the lives of special children with disabilities are being appreciated.
INORBIT Mall invited SANKALP’s children to spend time at their mall on CHRISTMAS. Children played games @ their GAMING ZONE and they were given gift hampers. They also enjoyed the burger and ice-cream treat given by us. Needless to say that all of them were really thrilled.
SANKALP also organized a fund raising event on 2nd Jan. in which children presented a skit prepared by their special educators. The event was a grand success and the performance of all the children was very well appreciated by the audience.
Once again a BIG THANK YOU for your continued support to our project. We shall be giving YOU regular updates about what YOUR donation has helped us achieve.
Before signing off, I’d like to ask YOU how WE can work together more closely as a proactive partner and attract wider participation on this project to bring smiles on the faces of mentally & physically challenged children and their families and make this world a better place to live for everyone. I shall be keen to receive your suggestions.
Gratefully yours
