As we leave 2025 behind, we are delighted to share the impact that your support has helped make possible through our Same Migrant Community (SMC) programme.
During this school year, we reached 995 children through 57 science workshops delivered in 59 schools across 28 cities and 10 countries. A total of 227 scientists from 34 migrant communities volunteered their time and expertise, creating 4,248 meaningful connections between children and scientist role models. Workshops were delivered in five heritage languages (Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, and Romanian) helping children engage with science in a familiar and inclusive environment.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive: 100% of participating children reported enjoying meeting the scientists, 100% of teachers would recommend the programme, and 100% of scientists rated the experience as excellent. These results reinforce what we see every day: when children encounter scientists who share their language and background, science becomes more accessible, relatable, and inspiring.
As we prepare for the upcoming 2026/27 school year, we are already working to bring the programme to even more children and communities. The funds raised through this project will help us continue expanding access to inclusive science education and ensure that more young people can see themselves represented in science and higher education.
Thank you for making Science a possibility for children!
