UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Mia Farrow was recently in Chad to highlight the unfolding crisis in the Sahel region, where an estimated 1 million children under the age of 5 are expected to suffer from severe acute malnutrition over the coming weeks and months. Some 127,000 children in Chad alone are at risk of experiencing this potentially deadly, but entirely preventable, condition.
Click on the links below to see a new video and article about Mia Farrow's visit, posted by UNICEF.
In the video, at the 2-minute mark, you will see that the red and white boxes of Plumpy'nut delivered to these children by UNICEF came from Edesia's factory in Providence, Rhode Island. We are so proud to be UNICEF's partner in this fight against severe acute malnutrition.
We are equally proud to have you as our supporter. Thank you for giving to this project, and for sharing it with your friends, so that we can keep the supplies of lifesaving Plumpy'nut to Chad flowing.
