Protecting and empowering women through safe shelter initiatives is one of the core activities of NAPO. The organization has been continuously working toward establishing its own safe shelter building while operating a rented facility to support women in need. Regular training sessions are conducted at the rented safe shelter.
During the reporting period, six survivors of gender-based violence received essential services, including free food, warm accommodations, and legal support. The reported cases included child marriage, polygamy, rape, domestic violence, and physical abuse.
NAPO plans to take initiatives to collect donations for purchasing land for a dedicated building construction. Meanwhile, a proposal has been submitted to the local government requesting support for the construction project. Although the government may not fund the entire building, they might provide partial support to initiate the project.
