Not a lot has changed in the last few months. The school has opened and our organization did not stop working during the time off, and neither did the children and women in our shelter. Extra classes were given about agriculture and clean farming. As a result, the students have the skills to provide clean, fresh fruits and vegetables for themselves and their families.
In the rainy season, it has been raining every day. The lowland area has flooded and sometimes there is no electricity. The children have had to eat their dinner and do their homework under candlelight. The candlelight was very soft and relaxing for them. The natural light could be beneficial for them.
Besides this, our Mae Chan location participated in swimming activities. This was to ensure that all of the children could swim, an important skill in this in this country that is marked by its rivers, lakes and swamps. The swimming activity was scary for some; they were afraid to even get into the swimming pool. But with some help they were able to swim, be it slowly and only short distances at this time.
We would like to thank you for all the donations that have been made and we hope that you will continue this program and many others of our organization.
