Dear donor and friend, let’s ponder on the dogs’ Golden Years today. Senior dogs usually can’t survive in the streets, but as soon as you rescue them, they rejuvenate, because heaven can still wait. And don’t ever tell them, they are too old, because they aren’t. Ramona became playful, glowing with joy and beauty, no matter that she only runs on three legs, but she runs, like she never did before. Jerito is also a tripod, and he rocks. Always with a wide smile on his face, enjoying every minute of his new life as a retiree, especially the grooming sessions. Merlin is the discreet friend, you can share your secrets with, and he will always be by your side, listening, supportive. Hope, sparkling with her smile, conquered the heart of a family who adopted her. Tío Tom, the centenary who still does not give up the pleasure of being alive, always in love with all the female dogs, always in love with the sun and a warming soup. Topo, the brave warrior, who chose to come back in our dreams, in our memories. Nonna, sweet and resilient, willing to trust again. And last but not least, Da Vinci, the snoring coach potato; it needed a whole life to make him that sweet. They all have so many stories to tell, they are adorable masters of life and love. May the force of a senior dog always be with you.
