This report covers the period from May 26, 2019 to August 22, 2019, and is our third reporting quarter of the Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland project.
As we have reported in our first quarter, we applied for the Measure 5.3. Protection of biological diversity, scheme A grant.
An examination of our application by the Marshal's Office of Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship was completed by the middle of June, 2019, and then we have received a letter with a detailed project evaluation.
Unfortunately the news was bad. Our application was rejected due to not having an adequate amount of money on the account (we should have 15% of the total cost of the project there), what, according to the evaluators, could jeopardise sustainability of the project.
The irony is that we have collected the required amount of money a month later, in July. We have participated in the July Bonus Day, and the result of this campaign was fantastic. We have managed to collect $5 000.00, and were qualified for the bonus.
And ..... , guess what, we were invited to apply for the same grant again. This time we should pass this evaluation process without any problems. The required funds will be there on our account, as a result of the GlobalGiving July Bonus Day campaign, this August.
But ... we could not have done it without you! On behalf of our amazing team, I offer you our sincerest gratitude.
