The project deals with the construction of toilets in select schools in rural/urban area. There are a number of schools which are in need of toilets in the rural areas. The schools chosen are the ones where there are no toilets or the toilets are not in usable condition due to various reasons. In the first phase the construction work at 2 schools in near Sira (Tumakuru district in Karnataka) is in progress… In of the schools the toilet is contructed for boys and in the other school it is for girls. The construction work also includes the sanitation connections that provided along with the water facilities to these toilets. Once these are completed, there is plan to expand the scope of the project to other locations and schools.
