Blue Planet Network's 100+ member organizations bring lasting clean water to children and their families around the world. We work with them to improve the planning, funding, and tracking of their work so that clean water also leads to improved health and better livelihoods.
International Lifeline Fund, a Blue Planet Network member since 2011, is working with communities in Uganda to ensure everyone has access to clean water and safe sanitation. This enables the local health clinic to improve their medical services, and in turn, ensure a healthier community. Mr. Amos Kasingabalya is a Medical Clinic Officer at the Nagwere Center 3 clinic in the Pallisa District of eastern Uganda - where 39 percent of the population lack access to clean water. After International Lifeline Fund installed a borehole well at the clinic, Mr. Kasigabalya recognized a major difference in quality of care afforded to the medical staff who no longer need to leave the premises to fetch water from miles away, leaving patients waiting for their return. The local community now has a safe, reliable source of clean water and a medical clinic that can better serve their needs.
