Argentina´s school year is nearly over. Classes go through December 2nd. And then summer holiday sinks in. So January and February are two months that are usually used to repaint, repair, buy new materials, and expand the library. These 22 rural schools affected by floodings are back in business, but of course, always in need of improvement. So we have launched a news campaign, to support these children with school supplies.
The #BackToSchool for them is really really hard, inflation has gone up, and latests reports (now official reports) on poverty, show that at least 30% of the population in Argentina is poor. Imagine how that affects rural population.
Everything is farther away, everything from going to school, to medical care, to finding a proper and formal job. Education is still the key to sucess, to inclusion, to learning about ways to improve one´s environment.
Please continue to help these schools. We are receiving donations to help paint the schools, but also, feel free to donate for school supplies:
A full backpack will cost 29 USD
a pencil box: 5 U$D
a dictonary: 8 USD
