Rural schools are affected by floodings. Making it difficult for children to attend, but also infrastructure is affected. So after the rain is gone, the goal is to help rebuild and repaint the schools, plus help fix the muddy roads and create boardwalks. FUNDACION ESCOLARES helps isolated rurals schools located in thirteen of the Countrys provinces: Salta, Jujuy, Formosa, Chaco, Corrientes, Misiones, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero,Tucuman, North of Santa Fe, Neuquen, Rio Negro, Chubut.
This project will allow children to go back to classes, and make it easier for them to assit to class when it rains again. Rain is affecting not only their roads and schools, but also the houses they live in. The project will make it possible for them to be better prepared for the next flooding. FUNDACION ESCOLARES is a non-profit organization, founded in 1981 by a group of people whose main concern was to improve the education of the children attending our countrys most isolated rural school
Rebuilding is key to giving schools a long term solution after the water is gone. We have defined the following goals: To improve the conditions in which the teaching activity is carried out. To promote studentsand teachers education and training. To encourage the integration of the school and its community. The schools are situated in very isolated places with difficult access and have deficient systems of transport and communication. Sanitary conditions are precarious.
