Project Report
The Rural Digital Literacy: Empower Youth & Children project seeks to reduce the digital divide in rural communities by equipping children and young people with essential digital skills. The initiative focuses on improving access to technology, enhancing digital awareness, and strengthening educational and future employment opportunities for underserved populations.
During the reporting period, the project implemented structured digital literacy training sessions covering computer basics, internet navigation, online safety, and introductory productivity tools. Training was delivered through community learning centers, with strong participation from children and youth who previously had limited exposure to digital technologies.
As a result of the intervention, beneficiaries demonstrated increased confidence in using digital devices, improved ability to access online educational content, and greater awareness of responsible and safe internet use. The project has contributed to enhanced digital inclusion and has laid a foundation for long-term educational and socio-economic empowerment.
Implementation challenges included limited digital infrastructure, inconsistent electricity supply, and restricted internet connectivity in rural areas. These constraints were mitigated through flexible scheduling, shared device utilization, and active community engagement.
