The Roof of Dignity is a sustainability program, which is aimed at the construction or restoration of houses for people living in extreme poverty in Dominican Republic. Through this program, the JB Foundation aims to build 10 decent homes for the families of the Villa Agro community in Bayaguana, Monte Plata Province of the Dominican Republic.
Many Haitian families take refuge in the Dominican Republic as is the case of the Tanil Joseph family which was selected to participate in this program. It is a family of four, they arrived from Haiti 30 years ago, looking for a better life. life, they have a life, we are trying to improve it. Like them, many families do not live in a decent and safe home, which they have to be very worried about during the hurricane season.
This project seeks to build new houses for families who do not have a decent home, thus improving their quality of life and removing a concern they have had for many years.
This achievement will improve living conditions with a new home that will positively impact the habits of the beneficiary population, 10 families living in Villa Agro, municipality of Bayaguana, Dominican Republic. This model can be replicated by the public and private sector in this country and the Caribbean.
