The Range Of Motion Project (ROMP) manufactures and distributes custom prosthetic devices to amputees in Guatemala, Ecuador and the United States. ROMP is seeking funding to purchase, fit, and provide ongoing support for 75 ROMP Guatemala patients in 2018.
Recognizing that amputees are not disabled by a missing limb, but by a missing prosthesis, ROMP believes that with proper prosthetic care, individuals may be able to return to their families and communities, as productive, engaged, healthy individuals. ROMP's vision is a world where all amputees receive the prosthetic care that they need, regardless of financial position.
ROMP provides the best most advanced prosthetic technology to anyone in need. ROMP believes that mobility is a concept that unites all human beings, regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic status, and can be critical in an individual's pursuit of life's many aspirations - family, community, work, active play and adventure. After 10 years of dedicated service, the organization has refined sustainable and scalable healthcare delivery models, built to respond to each patient
When ROMP is successful, people with amputation are empowered to return to life and their families as productive and engaged individuals, inspired by the care that they received and their new found mobility. In addition, ROMP effectively measures, monitors, and evaluates the results of receiving this custom device to determine the most successful ROMP measures and those that need improvement.
