I am thrilled to share exciting news with you—Project Promise has been officially invited to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands at the 2026 FIRST Global Challenge, taking place in Incheon, Republic of Korea. This prestigious Olympics-style robotics competition brings together one team of high school students from every nation with an Olympic committee, uniting youth from across the globe in the spirit of science, technology, and collaboration.
This year’s theme, #IgnitingInnovation, empowers teams to tackle issues inspired by wildfire prevention, mitigation, and recovery. Through hands-on engineering, students will discover how technology can protect communities and strengthen environmental resilience in a changing world.
Our team, representing the U.S. Virgin Islands, is comprised of six dedicated individuals—four passionate students and two mentors—united by our love of STEM and our commitment to making a difference. We are honored to have the opportunity to compete on the world stage, engage with peers from over 190 countries, and represent our territory with pride.
