Revive HER project will supports women in Nigeria facing poverty, displacement, violence, food insecurity and limited access to healthcare. The project will provide women with medical care, medicines, food, hygiene supplies and referrals to health, protection and social services. It will focus on women whose financial or living conditions make it difficult to meet basic needs.
Millions of Nigerians live with severe economic hardship, while women face added barriers to healthcare, income and protection. The World Bank estimates that 69.6% of Nigerians lived below the $4.20-a-day poverty line in 2025. WHO reports that 31% of women in Nigeria have experienced physical violence. UNFPA also reports serious disruption of health services for women affected by conflict and displacement.
Revive HER will identify women experiencing severe hardship and provide practical assistance based on their needs. Support may include medical consultations, medicines, health checks, food, hygiene supplies and referrals to health, protection and social services. Women affected by violence, displacement or poverty will receive help connecting with services available in their communities.
Revive HER project will help women regain access to healthcare and basic necessities when poverty, displacement or violence makes these difficult to obtain. A woman who receives timely medical care can avoid delaying treatment because of cost, while food and essential supplies can ease immediate household pressure. Referrals can also connect women to services that continue beyond the initial support.
