It's the end of the year, and that means it's time for updates. We just celebrated our FIVE YEAR anniversary on November 23rd. We cannot express our gratitude enough for everyone who has supported us over the last five years. We've been able to meet and photograph so many families who have gone through incredibly difficult chapters in their lives and create new keepsakes for them as they rebuild. We've met with and created fantastic relationships with numerous nonprofit and community partners. It has been such meaningful work.
Recently, we photographed the Ukrainian Christmas Festival in Wilmington, North Carolina. This annual event is a fundraiser for Ukrainian families here and overseas. We were able to reconnect with refugee families we've photographed over the years and check in with community partners doing good work.
Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday and we'll be raising funds through GlobalGiving, so keep an eye out for that! It's a great chance for us to fundraise so we can do more photoshoots for families in need.
In the coming months, we'll be photographing throughout North Carolina for families who are refugees, migrants, immigrants, asylum seekers, and survivors of disaster, including those in the mountains who are still rebuilding from Hurricane Helene.
Thank you, thank you, thank you again; and happy holidays from the team at Retake.
