Hello friends and supporters. We are a third of the way through 2024 and that seems crazy to our team! We used the first few months to fundraise and plan for upcoming projects. As an organization that does outdoor photoshoots for families, we don't host a lot in the winter months.
In February, though, we photographed at an event supporting efforts in Ukraine that was hosted in our hometown of Wilmington, NC.
This past month, our director was able to go to Washington, DC and photograph at a "Unity for Sudan" event as well as show support at a protest for Palestine.
In May, we'll be at a Ukrainian Festival in Wilmington, NC offering free portraits to resettled families.
In June, we are attending multiple World Refugee Day events across North Carolina including at Raleigh, Durham, and Wilmington.
As we continue to fundraise, we'll be able to offer more and more photoshoots to the families we serve.
As a reminder, we give keepsakes in the form of portraits to families who have survived conflict or disaster and are rebuilding their lives, primarily working with refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers. We give them new mementos in a trauma-healing way.
Thank you for your support!
