At just 10 years old, Micah Manuel began experiencing vision difficulties that required corrective glasses. Thanks to the early screening and intervention, her visual needs were identified and addressed at a crucial stage in her development.
Early detection is vital in children’s eye care. When vision problems are caught and managed promptly, long-term complications can often be prevented. Micah received the corrective support she needed, allowing her to continue her schooling and daily activities without disruption.
Two years later, on 22 January 2026, Micah returned for a follow-up examination. The results were remarkable.
Current Findings:
Unaided Visual Acuity: 6/6 in both eyes
Eye movements: Full, smooth, and accurate
Internal eye health: Normal
Refraction: No spectacle correction required
Micah now has normal vision without the need for glasses.
During this recent examination, mild ocular allergies were identified. She has been provided with appropriate medication to manage her symptoms.
This outcome demonstrates the life-changing impact of early screening and intervention. Our donors, you, made it possible for us to reach Micah when she needed help, she now enjoys clear vision, greater confidence, and improved academic potential.
Her story is a powerful reminder that a simple eye test can change the trajectory of a child’s future.
Thank you for making stories like Micah’s possible.
