Challenge

The upsurge in chronic illnesses associated with HIV/AIDS has increased the number of vulnerable children. The trauma of watching a parent die slowly has adverse effects on the child. There is some evidence that, coupled with HIV/AIDS, economic deprivation is fertile ground for child rights abuse. AIDS contributes to high poverty levels at household by the death of bread winners. Poverty leads to HIV and AIDS when poor family members engage in transaction sex in exchange for money for survival.

Solution

With the empowerment provided this will ensure that the lives of the vulnerable children are improved. Furthermore the recreation support and library will ensure that children concentrate on productive issues and stay away from bad devices.

Long-Term Impact

We will provide direct support in educate to 11 children and support 4,989 children in recreation and literacy levels to allow them to rise out of poverty, drifting on the streets and reduce on HIV/AIDS infection among orphans and vulnerable children
