It is special time for Social Community Forum to provide report as we are carrying out a project of Restore Mombo Nature Forest: Plant 60,000 Trees
Through the support of GlobalGiving Community, donors and all stakeholders, we have managed to plant 1000 trees in Mombo Nature Forest, we are entering a new phase is in March to plant 5,000 native trees to restore ecosystem and biodiversity to ensure sustainability of the forest for the benefit of 2,000 local community members who depend water from the streams running in Mombo Nature Reserve Forest in Tanga Region.We have worked on 4 natural water sources where water is preserved and supplied to villages for local community safe water consumption.Together intergration with local community training and education in schools entities especially Mombo schools ,also women green groups in the process implementation of project,tree planting activities and forest restoration practices to ensure sustainability of the project.
