Mombo Nature Forest is currently deforestated in hugely by human activities such as agriculture,lumbering in which about 40 percent of the forest has been degraded.The project will plant 60,000 trees to restore the forest. Restoration of 4 natural water sources to ensure sustainability of the forest, engagement of 5,000 of local community members. Stabilization of food and crop production through sustainable reforestation and water retention natural species of trees to ensure supply of rainfalls
Mombo Forest Is degraded a lot losing about 40 percentage of it's trees and biodiversity, degradation of water sources by Human activities lead to shortage of crop production leading to hunger,low supply of water due to loss of natural water sources, loosing a lot of animals and birds species.
The project focuses on planting of 60,000 native trees species. Through this project 4 water sources will be restored creating stable water supply to population of 5,000 people at Mombo Ward,the stable food production will be available due to stable rainfalls resulting from forest restoration.
Potential long-term impacts are Planting 60,000 trees will leading to stable water supply for local community members. Education and training to villages about forest conservation programs Stable food production due to increased rainfalls and better climate conditions Reforestation of all parts degraded forest parts.
