Dear Donor,
First, thank you. Because of your generosity so far, one sewing machine found its way to Josephine. One teenage mother learned to stitch instead of walking away. One baby sleeps under a blanket her own mother made.
We are deeply grateful. You believed in second chances before anyone else did.
Now we're asking you to believe a little more. Because while we are thankful for what we have, we cannot stop here.
Meet Shakirah. She is fifteen. She arrived last week carrying her six-month-old on her back and a plastic bag with nothing inside. She heard about Josephine. She asked if the machine would still be there for her.
We said yes.
We've decided: we start now.
Coming months, sewing machines will be set up in a rented room above a market. Josephine will be there. Shakirah will be there. And one other young mother who showed up with her baby in her arms.
We don't have everything yet. But we have enough to begin. And we have you.
What we still need: fabric, thread, bobbins, scissors, chairs, a space heater, and a safe corner where babies can sleep while their mothers stitch a future.
Shakirah has never threaded a needle. But she is ready to learn. Please help us give her something to hold onto.
With deep gratitude and continued hope,
F SSIBU MISSION FOUNDATION-UGANDA
