“Greetings to you, I trust you are well. This is to inform you that we have been having a series of outreaches in our communities performing eye screening and eye health education in both local communities and schools.
We have so far managed to distribute 52 reading glasses. Teachers have shown great gratitude after receiving reading glasses, since now they are able to read and write well, while marking and preparing the scheme of work for delivering lessons to young learners.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, GAF EYE HEALTH FOUNDATION extends sincere appreciation to CPAR Uganda for the generous donation of reading glasses. Best regards, Ambrose Wekwanya.”
This message of gratitude came from GAF yesterday, 11th June 2025, via email. In turn, we, at CPAR Uganda, share this grassroots message of gratituted with our supporters and donors who have joined us on this journey, little by little, one eye at a time, enabling people from disadvantaged communities in rural Uganda to access eye care services.
Without your financial support we would not have been able to acquire and to donate 100 pieces of Foster Grant Reading Glasses to GAF, a charity based in Namisindwa District in Eastern Uganda; and for onward distribution to persons from disadvantaged communities with sight challenges.
Please continue to spread the word about this initiative, for there are still many more from disadvantaged commmunities in Uganda whose lives and livelihoods would be significantly and positively improved with a gift of good eye sight.
