Interesting data is coming soon!
During July and August 2021, together with our local partner, Centro Labor, we realized a new investigation in Cerro de Pasco.
We worked hard but remotely to plan and train local staff due to our inability to travel.
The main goals of this last investigation were: 1) assess outdoor and indoor air quality inside houses closed to the mining plants and mining waste disposals and 2) evaluate the Intellectual Quotient (IQ) of children population exposed to neurotoxic chemicals released by mining activities.
A local psychologist team, Superdotados Peru, took part in our project traveling to Pasco for two weeks to assess 97 Children's IQ and sample their hair to analyze heavy metals concentrations.
After many troubles linked to customs and travel samples, the certified laboratory is going to analyze all those samples.
We will share with you very soon all these exciting results that are useful for all our claim actions.
Furthermore, local families are now more aware of new psycho-physical assessments on their children that the government has never made before.
In less than 30 days, we will come back with a new update report!
Stay tuned!
