Dear Partner,
Thank you for your support and commitment to the work we do at our Restoration Project Resource Center.
Since our last Report, we have faced many challenges that had made us better and more effective. Thanks to you, we can continue giving our support to the population we serve. We were also able to add more services despite the global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Your continued support will help us continue to provide support and services to our constituents. September 28 and 29, 2020, we would be bringing back our classes in Computer/Microsoft Office, and Financial Literacy, respectively. We had put a hold on these and other classes because of the effects of COVID-19. But now we are back to give them the most needed skillset.
We are also happy to announce that our classes in Data Entry and coding (Python Programming) will take off October 7 and 8, respectively. We are bringing these classes to our population for FREE to give them tools for obtaining gainful employment in the computer field. We are all aware that online workers are in high demand, most businesses would need people to enter data into their system. We believe that giving these skills and tools to our population is amounts to economic empowerment.
Please support our efforts to change the lives of survivors of trafficking, domestic violence, asylees, and refugees. If we fail to help these individuals, we would be leaving them to continue in their traumatic lifestyle with their abuser and remain in perpetual bondage.
In the past, we have produced 23 computer literate survivors and immigrants who now work remotely. One of our graduates now works as a navigator, helping members of her community to navigate systems for services. We have seen survivors and victims turn their lives around through the economic resources we provide. Empowering them economically gives them a sense of belonging in the community and a shift in their economic status.
We cannot do this without you! Together, we can help our community navigate away from the hardships and disruptions of abuse and COVID-19. We can ALL make a difference in these lives!
