Dear Partner,
Thank you for your support and commitment to ensure that Restoration Project Resource center continues its good work in our community. We cannot serve our community and population without your continued support.
Our SAFE (Survivor Awareness & First Encounter) Program has been educating our community and providing the needed tools to support survivors and protect at risk/vulnerable girls. The Safe program has trained 33 community members so far and we hope to train many more. We are preparing to hold another SAFE event in October 2019. We are leading impact in the bid to prevent trafficking within our community. This program would not have been available to community without your support.
So far, our skills development program has produced 20 graduates of our classes. Our 3rd Financial literacy class will start October 8th, 2019 - 8 people have registered for this class. Our 1st Computer Introduction and 3rd Microsoft class starts September 23rd, 2019 with 10 participants. These classes are held in our Resource Center under our Skills Development program. At the end of each class, we will have an assessment for participants to determine the next level. These include business coaching with possible connection to microfinance company for small business loans; connection with small businesses for internships and possible employment; and assistance with filling out forms or referral to other services.
We want to be able to give participants of our skills development program opportunities to utilize the skills and tools they receive from these classes to improve their economic situation.
THANK YOU for helping us keep our resource center open. Please continue to support our project so we can sustain our programs. Remember, your donation helps us provide an array of services on one platform; it also helps us to raise awareness. It will be sad if our community is not well-prepared to support survivors and help them re-integrate into communal life. Lack of funding can stifle progression and impact. More community members are gaining knowledge and receiving tools on how to help survivors. There is power in numbers! Why not be a part of this good work by donating today!
