International Medical Corps is responding to the devastating wildfires in Spokane and across eastern Washington. The fires have burned more than 10,500 acres, destroyed hundreds of homes and buildings, and forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate (as of August 6th). With multiple fires still largely uncontained, ongoing smoke, displacement and healthcare disruptions continue to pose serious risks to affected communities.

International Medical Corps' emergency response team is on the ground and coordinating with local health centers, the American Red Cross, the National Association of Community Health Centers, the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster and other partners to assess needs and deliver support.
International Medical Corps is mobilizing hygiene and wound-care kits, preparing mobile medical units and providing mental health resources, while anticipating continued needs for basic supplies, clinic surge capacity and health services.
