Equipping Schools to Become Centers of Ebola Prevention

Students are learning about the importance of regular handwashing, recognizing early warning signs of illness, avoiding contact with bodily fluids, and reporting suspected symptoms to trusted adults. Handwashing stations positioned at school entrances are encouraging good hygiene throughout the day, while school health clubs are reinforcing these messages through peer-to-peer learning.

Community members are working together to identify households requiring additional support, including older adults, people living with disabilities, individuals with chronic illnesses, and families affected by quarantine measures. At the same time, community meetings continue promoting practical Ebola prevention measures, including consistent handwashing, early recognition of symptoms, and prompt communication with health authorities.
