We received a message with pictures of parts of the walls around the Resource center cracked and about to fall. The wall around is a form of security to prevent break in into the building. We were instructed to act quickly because of the raining season to prevent more damages by preventing the wall from coming down. This we did with little funds in our account to safeguard the place.
During the month of May, we combined food drive and maintenance program at the resources cent and other locations. We raised some money to buy raw food stuff for the population we serve. We were able to supply about 520 families with Rice, brown beans, black eye peas and tomatoes that will last them for two months depending on the size of the family. Our sincere thanks goes to Friends of Nigeria of America, Christ Episcopal Church in Woodbury, St Mary's Guild of Christ Episcopal church in Woodbury, ACHI board members and friends. We are planning conducting another food drive in July because the condition is getting worse in the villages we serve. There is always room for donation for us to reach more people.
