Relief Distribution in Camarines Norte
Relief Distribution in Camarines Norte

CDP Foundation, with support from GlobalGiving, executed a swift and comprehensive response to two major crises: the Cebu earthquake and Typhoon Fung-wong in Camarines Norte.

Following the Cebu earthquake, CDP Foundation immediately focused on immediate relief and early recovery, working with local partners to deliver essential aid, including shelter materials and survival kits. This timely assistance was crucial in stabilizing affected households and initiating the cleanup and recovery process in hard-hit areas. CDP Foundation partnered with various collaborating organizations for a targeted relief drive in multiple municipalities. Working closely with strong local community-based organizations, such as SPEqTRUMS San Remigio, and dedicated barangay leaders, CDP efficiently distributed essential kits, including solar lights, tarps, and water containers, ensuring smooth and equitable delivery via an organized coupon system.

Subsequently, when Typhoon Fung-wong (Uwan) struck the Bicol region, CDP Foundation pivoted its efforts. Through the Damayan sa Bagyong Uwan initiative, CDP provided crucial financial support to severely affected families in Camarines Norte to help restore their dignity and livelihoods.

Ultimately, GlobalGiving support enabled the CDP Foundation to successfully manage a dual-focused response, demonstrating its ability to be flexible and provide rapid, community-based aid during simultaneous crises. This approach, integrating immediate relief with strong local partnerships, reinforces the CDP's commitment to fostering long-term community resilience and recovery.
