Challenge

In vulnerable countries, many children live in war and violence. They suffer from injury and life threats easily. They are forced to leave their hometown, even leave their family, and feel the shadow of death. They are easy to feel nervous, scare, even have PTSD such as learning expression problems, and emotional disorders. This psychological shadow influence their whole lives. They even under the high risk of being kidnapped, trafficked, forced to become child soldiers, and can't go to school.

Solution

In food aid part, we cooperate with WFP to provide rice, and give nutritional supplement to children under 5 and women who is pregnant. In education and consultation part, we help refugee children go back to school, provide textbooks and school supplies, have consultation courses, and elevate school's quality. In children protection part, we build protection network, organize children groups, promote basic right, encourage to report violence events, and providing different resources to victims.

Long-Term Impact

Through the food aid, living assistance, nutritional treatment, clean drinking water, basic sanitation equipment, education, and child care centers, World Vision accompany children to keep away from war and violence's injury. Children will recover their lost childhood. They can have stable lives, get better education, and live with goal and hope. When children grow up, they will have more choices and opportunities to change their lives. They can provide better lives for their next generation.
