Ordinarily we rescue cats from local animal shelters, but when one of the NBCR volunteers came across Raggedy Ann, she just couldn't turn her away. This sweet girl had been living outside on the streets for more than 8 years when some neighbors noticed she had an abscess on her face and stomach. They reached out to New Beginnings Cat Rescue for assistance. Raggedy Ann was diagnosed with skin cancer. She is being treated now and her foster says she is doing very well.
Little Molly is a bottle baby without her momma. This is a fragile stage in a cat's life and many don't make it through without the mother cat. But Molly has a foster family who is caring for her with lots of love. Molly is growing sharp kitten teeth and loves to roll over in the palm of a hand and suck on a finger when she is done with her bottle. She's becoming very interested in her surroundings and is learning how to play. She is going to make someone a very well-rounded curious and loving pet.
Then there is a beautiful gray and white kitty named Babette who was rescued from the Local Animal Shelter. She would not have lasted long in there because she is FIV+. A super sweet girl.
Another little kitty, orange and white baby boy Orlando, was brought to Garland Animal Shelter by a young man and his son who spotted the poor cat in a tree off a busy road. When they saw him there the 2nd day they climbed the tree to rescue him. A volunteer from NBCR was at the shelter the same time and saw them turning him over to animal control so she offered to take him right away. Orlando didn't have to spend even one day in there.
Your donations help to pay for the medical care, sterilizations, immunizations and food that these cats need to help make them ready for adoption. Thank you so much for donating to New Beginnings Cat Rescue.
