Rescuing cats is just a part of what we do at New Beginnings Cat Rescue. Finding the cats a home is our ultimate goal. While each adoption is a joyful celebration, there are some that stay with us forever. One such adoption took place just a week before Christmas.
It all began about 2 ½ years ago when a beautiful 4 year old black cat, was returned to New Beginnings Cat Rescue. He was being bullied by a bigger cat in his home and that was causing him stress. With each passing year, our hope of finding the right family was diminishing. Not only is it more difficult for an adult cat to find a home (as opposed to a kitten), but an adult black cat is probably the most difficult to adopt out. People tend to shy away from them no matter how sweet they are.
That is until a kind young man submitted an adoption application. Within a few days, he visited the adoption center, looked at this beautiful cat and a perfect adoption was completed.
There is financial cost involved in rescuing cats but the joy of witnessing their adoption is priceless. Without your help, these adoptions wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for your support!
